Most Rev. Dr. Marampudi Joji, the then Bishop of Khammam offered a permanent centre to the Congregation of the Mission including a plot of cultivable land at Yerrupalem with the promise to make it an independent parish. In 1998 it was erected a Parish. And Fr. Sunny Kuttikkat was appointed the first parish Priest. Staying in a rented house Fr. Sunny and deacon Thomas Enchackal looked after the new Parish and the construction of the presbytery in a separate plot purchased by the Congregation. In 1998 Yerrupalem was separated from the Kannapuram House and was erected a Canonical House and Fr. Sunny Kuttikkat was appointed the first superior. His Excellency Rt. Rev. Dr. Paul Maipan, Bishop of Khammam, blessed the present Presbytery on 27th November in 1999.

Today the parish has a new church. The parish also has a school and also a hostel for the poor children. At present the hostel accommodates around hundred students. We are also constructing a better hostel where we hope to put up more students.
