Consenting to the request of the Bishop of Quilon, the Vincentians took up the care of St. Rita’s Parish, Nanthirical for a period of two years. St. Rita’s parish is situated at the neighborhood of Keralapuram, about two kilometers away. The parish consists of 700 Catholic families, English Medium School and two houses of formation. The people are mostly from middle class, fishing and agricultural background. They have a strong Christian faith and the mass attendance on Sundays and weekdays is encouraging. The parish council along with the active Pious Associations helps the Parish Priest and contributes to the strengthening of the faith in the people.
