St. Joseph’s church Irussumanda, was created in the year 1989. Rev. Fr. Mathew Kunnupuram, who belongs to the Diocese of Eluru was the founder Father. The parish church is a remodeled cinema hall. The parish has 248 catholic families and has got 12 substations which are 1.5 to 15kms away from the parish church. There is a catechist working in the parish.

Irussumanda station was entrusted to the care of the Vincentian in 2003. the station is given to us ‘ad usum perpetuum’. We also started a small hostel with 30 students. The students go to the school near by the parish.

The parish has an English Medium school run by the F.C.C. Sisters.
